Silkscreen Monotype Workshop with Madison Cowles Serna

La Printeria and Madison Serna will present a Silkscreen Monotype Workshop on Saturday, September 22, 12:00PM - 4:00PM at our Lavaca Studios location (1103B S. Presa). A limited number of 8 participant slots are available. Supplies are included.

Participants in this workshop will be introduced to the both the processes of screen printing and monotypes. Using the silkscreen as a drawing surface, they will create colorful drawings and paintings. Each drawing can be reproduced several times, lending this process to a multitude of further possibilities. Silkscreen monotypes are fun, fast, and spontaneous. Through the workshop participants will learn basic screen printing techniques such as registration and pulling prints. The materials and process are essentially non-toxic and accessible to novices and advanced screen printers.
